This early antique Chinese carved celadon & russet jade temple lion or dog of foe measures 50mm (2″) high x 44mm (1.75″) and weighs 88 grams. It dates to the 17th century and quite probably considerably earlier and is beautifully carved using the natural impurities in the stone with great skill, and it is in good antique condition.
