An antique Chinese porcelain jar, decorated in lavender and black with writhing dragons and a pearl, and the eight auspicious Buddhist symbols along the upper border. The enamel decoration is very fine. The foot is finely formed with the glaze stopping evenly along the foot rim. The jar is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. A felt pad was glued to the base. Most of the glue easily flaked off but some remains on the underside. This will be easy to remove with no damage done to the jar. The jar lacks a lid.
