99 with lots closing the evening of Monday, April 18th. The jar made in baluster form and is hand painted around the exterior with detailed dragons flying amongst flames. Detail in the work is excellent and the blue of a nice vibrant color. The underside of the jar is marked with a blue artemisia leaf in a double ring and stands on a flattened foot rim. It stands 12.5 inches tall and displays well as can be seen in the photos. Overall condition is good for a jar of this age. There are two hairlines on the rim and one at the base of the neck that runs lateral. Also there is a line on the underside which has been shown in the photos. Typical of these jars there are some lines to the interior which do not show through the porcelain. In addition, all questions must be asked at least 12 hours prior to a lot closing. This allows us time to inspect the item and take additional photos if needed. Many of the items we sell are well over 100 years old. Inherently, these items will have some minor or light wear.
