This is a remarkable antique Chinese textile, we believe the textile to date prior to 1900. The imagery and symbolism depicted is amazing. Dragons, bats, floral design, waves, really all the bells and whistles that create a great Chinese textile. Extremely interesting subject matter and the workmanship is divine. Size is 41″ X 60″, this could be a “kang” but we just don’t know for certain based on size. We are extremely interested in educating ourselves and if you are so inclined we would love any information on this item as we are completely impressed with the quality and artistry. Please examine the pictures carefully, there are so many tears and imperfections, mainly in the silk background. I know this piece can be restored, but the new owner needs to understand that this piece is being offered as an AS IS or restoration project.
