This antique Chinese cream silk screen damask weave dragon floral vase piano shawl dates from the 1920s. It is made of an off white cream color silk damask weave fabric with woven dragon, smoke clouds, Chinese characters patterns and a colorful muted silk screen design of an Oriental flower vase in one corner and a beaded pearl coin floral border edging. There is a hand knotted macramé cream silk fringe measuring 10 inches long surrounding the entire shawl. The shawls fabric square measures 46 by 56 inches. It is in good as-is condition, with several small frays scattered along the silk fabric (see close-up). This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable Chinoiserie textile art!
