Antique Hand Carved Chinese Nephrite Jade Floral Plaque & Carved Brass Dragons.. Hand carved from Chinese Nephrite Jade this Oval Plaque measures 4 5/8″ wide by 6″ tall by only 1/8 thick. There is a tooled brass frame and the back is reinforced with a thin piece of glass. On either side is a 2 ¾ tall dragon hand carved from brass. On the back is 3 ½” by 5 3/8″ brass foot, hand engraved with flowers, which shows this is a bookend. On the close-up photograph you can see an old crack to the bottom of the glass.
