A wonderful late 19th- early 20th century Chinese or Japanese card / cigarette case measuring 3.25″ x 2.5″ with a curve shape to fit comfortably against one’s chest. Signed as in the last pic. Featuring in high relief a working falcon tethered on his post and a dragon on the reverse. A highly unusual subject by a master silversmith, probably a commission piece for someone into falconry. I’ve had this 18 years and have never seen another case with a falcon.
