One of a kind Work of Art! Museum Quality embroidery Rare Antique Chinese Qing Dynasty Court Summer Gauze 5 Claw Dragon Robe mid 19th century Pure Silk The embroidery is Incredible! Single thread Silk Satin Floss all over embroidery Masterfully embroidered and a PERFECT work of art! Done by a true Master! Rare Museum Quality Piece Color looks to be natural dyes and no aniline dyes and because of this I believe this is an older robe — from the 1850s Difficult to photograph because the woven gauze is over a cotton or linen lining (the lining is indigo light blue) CONDITION: by my estimations this robe is 170+ years old the silk is soft and pliable. No rot or decay coloring is mellow natural dyes this was PRE OWNED and WORN for the Court very light soiling no stains and no dye bleed the collar has some of the weaving coming apart as seen in picture 11 but no missing fabric or threads a few loose threads. 1 tiny mite bite seen in photo 12 about the size of the tip of a pencil no buttons and pulls over the top this is STILL Wearable! In general my pictures reflect and try to reproduce everything, including color, as accurately as possible.
