This is a great bronze statue – 6.5″ x 4×5″ A seated elderly monk? In an elaborate dragon robe, with the dragon covered in gold, as are the borders of the robe. The gold indicates that this was a top of line item when made and it certainly is now. As I note in the’condition’ a thin sheet of metal (copper or brass, I think) was glued over the opening in the bottom of the piece many years ago. A 1 piece broke off from packaging. It looks as if this was added, maybe as a replacement for a wooden base. I do not think it detracts but wanted to mention it.
