The rounded censer with twin animal head loop ring handles supported on three cabriole feet the base with stamped seal script mark. Depicting Partial Pewter / Silver color Metal Covering of Dragons & Bats. With 2 Hollow Metal Handles attached by Rings. The Lid is decorated with a Coin design & a replaced Carnelian Agate Finial. 4 Chop Marks on the base. Age unknown, likely early to mid 20th century. Not counting the handles, a pprox. 4.15″ tall” x 7.5″ long x 5.5″ wide. Just over 2 pounds total. Fair overall condition with use wear, dirt, scratches, small metal dents. This is a nice antique Chinese Qing Dynasty signed small porcelain tazza with dragon, phoenix & bats decoration. I believe the mark underneath is a Tongzhi mark but it’s very small and hard to decipher. In pretty nice shape as the pics show with it having some minor losses / imperfections throughout with the worst being seen in the last few pics and it comes exactly as shown. Gorgeous Antique Black Silk Embroidery Chinese Robe Dragons Bats Flaming Pearls
Gorgeous Antique Black Silk Embroidery Chinese Robe Dragons Bats Flaming Pearls. I know enough to know that this is a very nice robe. The embroidery is done with a metal thread that has tarnished. Leads me to think the thread is silver because of the color of the tarnishing but I could be wrong and will leave that to an expert. Black silk inside and out. The only issue I can find anywhere are two small holes in the lining near the neck. All of the embroidery is done in metal threads in a couching technique. There are dragons, waves, flaming pearls, bats, clouds and other Buddhist symbols embroidered on it. I took photos outdoors and there is some glare on the lens. The black silk fabric is absolutely even in color and solid black with no variation like it might appear in some of the photos. The first two photos are a better representative of the color since the sun was at my back. It’s in beautiful condition. Measures 50 inches from the end of one sleeve to the end of the other, 23 inches underarm to underarm and 40 inches from shoulder to bottom. Please ask questions before purchasing as this item is not returnable. This coat is in excellent condition. But with all the embroidery involved I’m sure you might find a loose thread or two.
