Large Chinese silver mug, ca 1880. Cylindrical bowl with bellied and beaded dragon-encircled bottom. Pastoral frieze with farmers tilling soil and water buffalo pulling plow. In background buildings and trees. Sweet scenes of country life that contrast with the scary, scaly dragon forming s-scroll handle that grips the bowl with talons. A horned voyeuristic beast that peers over the rim with gaping, fanged jaws. Chinese marks and initials WF for Wing Fat in Canton. Overall dimensions: H 7 x W 7 3/8 x D 4 1/4 in. Weight: 16.8 troy ounces.

This is a very beautiful, old and unique CHINESE CANTON ENAMEL HARDSTONED c. 1900 cup (114.8g). The cup has marvelous canton enamel with Chinese women scene, engraved nice detailed, carved hardstone dragon belt bickle handle. The cup has a very antiquated and exquisite feel to it. DESCRIPTION: Fine quality mid 20th century Chinese Canton enamel on copper or brass table lamps on carved wood bases. Near pair (though not exact) Phoenix birds are yellow on both lamps the dragons are green on one lamp & blue on the other, backgrounds are similar not exact. SIZE: Overall 29 3/4″H to top of finial, copper enamel is 15 1/2″H. CONDITION: Very good, no breaks/no cracks/no chips just a few tiny manufacturing skips to enamel, one wood base is missing a small carved piece (photo 11), no repairs. Note; both lamps are working & have been rewired at sometime, both are vintage & should be checked for safety before using. This type of enamelling known by several names including Beijing, Canton and Peking enamel was very popular during the 17th centuries and this piece from the early 20th century copies that style. It features a wavy five claw dragon central motif with 4 dragons along the side. The exterior features three scenes featuring scholarly pursuits. The base is signed with a reignmark. Condition: There are some areas that look like they could be repaired enamel. Some crazing in areas as is common with enamel. Height 2 5/8 Inches 6.9 cm. Width 11 3/8 Inches 28.9 cm. Depth 11 5/8 Inches 29.5 cm. 1930’s Chinese Canton Enamel Water Basin with Dragon Marked. It is 2.8 inches (7.4 cm) tall by 12.2 inches (31.1 cm) wide. It is 1.4 Lb. It has loss of enamel, chips and cracks at the enamel, stains, oxidation, and surface wears and scratches (as seen in the photos). How we pack your item is at our discretion.
