This antique Chinese tile is a rare find for collectors of Asian antiques. The tile features intricate designs of a dragon and a foo dog face, possibly originating from an ancient temple roof. This is a nice antique possibly ancient Chinese terra cotta temple or roof tile decorated with dragon or foo dog / mythical beast face with eyes & nostrils. I’m not certain exactly how old the tile is, I know that it’s quite old. I had a fellow antique dealer look at them as well and he believes they could date to the 13th century possibly earlier. In pretty nice shape as the pics show with some imperfections / wear from age and it comes exactly as shown with an impressed mark on the back. The back of the tile has remnants of glue or something else where it was once affixed to something. It measures approximately 6″ x 3 1/8″ Please see my other tiles as well.
