Here for sale is a RARE ANTIQUE CHINESE 17th C LATE MING/EARLY QING SILK BROCADE’DRAGON’ ROBE for a high ranking official of imperial court then. With a side fastening, the blue. Damask silk with clouds background. Woven with clouds pattern and a design of dragons among. In yellow threads extending over the chest, shoulders and back, another border of similar design along the hem. Typical’dragon around the neck’ cloud shoulder pattern of mid 17C transition period between Ming and Qing Dynasty. Highly likely Ming but listed as Qing for cautious. Horse hoof cuffs removed(if it were Ming)Sleeves have been altered(if it were Ming), I can certainly tell whether it is of Ming or Qing if otherwise. Antique Chinese porcelain charger Dragon & Phoenix, Late Qing / Republic #969. Stunning large charger with phoenix and dragon decoration. Back has got a handwritten Qianlong mark. Late Qing / Republic. Checked with UV Lamp. No cracks, No hairlines, No restoration. Minimal glaze fritting’s at the rim. General wear, scratches and manufacturing flaws. The charger is a bit warped / skew. Diameter: ca 37,5 cm. Hight: ca 6 cm. This also includes to carefully look at all pictures. The finely carved chair has a back splat with dragon and dramatic scrolled back. The chair is in good, sturdy condition with only isolated loss of lacquer.
