BEAUTIFUL AND QUITE RARE DESIGN EARLY ANTIQUE 1900 TO 1910 OR SO CHINESE ART DECO RUG. IT IS COVERED IN BONSAI TREES, AND THE BORDER HAS GOLD DRAGON HEADS ALL AROUND IT. SIZE IS 9.4X11.9. IN GOOD CONDITION FOR ITS AGE. IT HAS WEAR AND LOW PILE BUT IT STILL LOOK QUITE STUNNING. A BIT OF TOUCH UP WAS DONE TO THE RUG. IT IS 110 TO 120 YEARS OLD. Antique Chinese Knife Chopstick Utility Set Etch Tree Mountain Jade Dragon Silk
Shown is an antique Chinese eating or utility set with a scabbard and holder containing a pair of chopsticks and a knife. It contains four pieces (a knife, pair of chopsticks and holder). The holder is made of silver and contains a natural white material detailed with a black line landscape etching of mountains, trees, and rocks with a few red highlights. The part the chopsticks slide into is silver. The knife handle is made of stone, possibly jade, and is carved into a dragon’s head measuring about 2 5/8 long. The knife length is 8 3/4. It has a silk tassle attached to a loop. Overall length of eating set is 10. Condition: The knife blade has some pitting and a few small rust marks that I did not attempt to clean. There is some silver polish residue in one of the crevices but this does not harm the piece and could be removed with a fine tool. Overall excellent – without chips, cracks, breaks or other problems. ANTIQUE CHINESE SILK TEXTILE EMBROIDERY SCENE OF FIGURES DRAGON SUN TREE OCEAN
Outstanding antique Chinese silk embroidery, fine workmanship, framed in what appears to be a gold leaf frame. Item measures 22″ wide x 26 1/2″ tall x 2/3 deep with framing. Dating to the 19th century. Embroidery depicts a landscape with human figures wearing robes, nature life, animal figures, fish/ocean/water, clouds/sun and possibly a dragon/horse creature? This piece is over 100 years old so there is some slight wear and fading to the embroidery. There is also some wear to the frame. Looks to be a small amount of red paint on the frame and some tears on the back of the frame. Please see the detailed photos within the listing. Overall, this is a very nice piece that would display very well. I would estimate the framing was originally done in the 1960s or 70s? The label on the back of the framing reads.
