Vintage Gold Gilded Sterling Filigree & Enamel Signed Chinese Dragon on Stand. The dragon measures 8 1/2″ long by 3 1/2″ wide by 11 tall with the base. The dragon’s foot is stamped “Silver 925″. This is the only markings found on the statue. The dragon is in very good condition overall. There is a slight wobble and lean to the big dragon and it looks like it might have been glued back into place but we cannot be sure. We have taken a photo from the side where it looks like glue more so than the other dragon feet. Both feet that hold the dragon in place look this way so if it was repaired it is a good almost unnoticeable job. While we do our best to accurately describe all items and conditions, we are not perfect, and sometimes condition can be a subjective thing. Antique Chinese Sterling Silver Dragon Bosun’s Boatswain’s Pipe, Call, Whistle. Antique Chinese Sterling Silver Bosun’s Call or Pipe, Boatswain’s Whistle. Keel is Decorated with 4-Toed Dragon Chasing Pearl. It is marked “STERLING” on the keel, as pictured. Likely dates to the 1800s-early 1900s. Highly detailed 4-toed dragons can be seen on each side chasing the pearl (the buoy of the call). Measures a long 5 7/8 in length, or 14.8cm. The gun is nicely curved and the keel is straight, as you can see in the image from the bottom. Small dent can be seen in the bottom of the buoy and a small bend on the opening on the buoy. These signs of age and use should be no problem at all to have removed, if desired, but I prefer the honest “as-found” look. No issues that detract from the beauty of this incredible Chinese/nautical cross-collectible! Old patina and light signs of years of use consisting of surface scratches, rubbing. Outstanding antique Chinese silk embroidery, fine workmanship, framed in what appears to be a gold leaf frame. Item measures 22″ wide x 26 1/2″ tall x 2/3 deep with framing. Dating to the 19th century. Embroidery depicts a landscape with human figures wearing robes, nature life, animal figures, fish/ocean/water, clouds/sun and possibly a dragon/horse creature? This piece is over 100 years old so there is some slight wear and fading to the embroidery. There is also some wear to the frame. Looks to be a small amount of red paint on the frame and some tears on the back of the frame. Please see the detailed photos within the listing. Overall, this is a very nice piece that would display very well. I would estimate the framing was originally done in the 1960s or 70s? The label on the back of the framing reads.
