All wool pile and I believe all natural vegetable colors. The rug has a soft supple handle and beautiful lustrous wool. Fresh from a local estate. Good pile all over. One small damage to outside edge selvage. Also some slight moth damage to pile in one place. Very slight and hard to notice. Otherwise clean, no holes, no repairs, and no stains.
