This is a fabulous antique (Chinese Republic Period) Chinese bowl / vase in great used condition. There is a very small break on the tip of one of the dragons horns. Please see the 9th picture to see the break. There is a raised dragon and bat adorning the top of the bowl. It is hand crafted and hand painted in bright enamels. The body of the vessel has a pretty floral motif from top to bottom. You can see the artist took care to develop a beautiful piece of porcelain pottery. The colors are nice and bright. The dragon is well formed. You can even see its tongue. The dragon represents cosmic energy, while the bat represents good fortune. The bottom is marked China. The bowl measures a little more then 5″ across X 4″ high. I found this and several other wonderful Chinese pieces at an estate of an avid collector. Check back often, as I will be posting them also.
