This is a fine antique piece of Chinese soapstone, probably for use as a paperweight, and carved in shallow relief with a dragon amongst the clouds with shou symbols. It has been quite knocked about but that just shows its’ genuine age and use. A fair amount of general surface wear and chipping as per the photos below but no big losses and no repairs.
