This huge antique Chinese earthenware vessel features the DRAGON CHASING THE FLAMING PEARL OF WISDOM. A beautiful dark goldenrod overglaze covers the outside, making the DRAGON scene stand out. This pot shows it’s importance with the five toed dragon indicating quality suitable for the Emperor. The inside has a brown glaze, it is purported to be 19th century. Condition is very good, very slight glaze damage as shown in photos, could use a good cleaning. No damage to rim. Some small firing cracks to rim and base. This pot is huge 19″ x 18″ and 45 lbs.
