This Ming style Chinese altar cabinet is a 19th century replica furniture artwork. The Asian piece front face displays intricate carvings of two Chinese dragons guarding the cabinet contents as well as elaborate scroll designs decorate the spandrels and apron of the cabinet. The cabinet has three small top drawers with circular bronze mounts and two larger drawers beneath. Handcrafted with wooden pegs and tenon structure, the traditional craftsmanship for furniture making in China. The cabinet is solid, in good condition displaying some use over the decades.
