Beautiful 19th Century Carved Cinnabar Box. This box is intricately carved. The domed top depicts 2 dragons possibly fighting and. Are surrounded by floral. The four sides have a floral & leaf carved design. The bottom and interior are Black lacquered. Two brass hinges on the back and rim of the box are painted red to match the carvings. The box measures 3.75″ x 3.25″ x 2.0 to the dome top of the lid and weighs 5.1 ozs. There are no chips or cracks to the cinnabar. The bottom has minor chips to all four corners and is signed in one corner in red paint. Please view all the photos for more details.
