For sale is this incredibly rare Chinese clay Song Dynasty hand carved/molded eves tile relief with the clear image of a dragon’s head, food dog, or beast head remaining (the head makes it difficult to speculate which exactly). This piece was carefully sculpted of a soft wet clay, and then baked in a furnace. It still showcases the original shape of the design. Please study the photos carefully so you will have a good idea of what parts are clearly visible. It was located by a team of skilled archeologists around some ancient archeological remains. It was then owned by a private Chinese Antiquities collection. I bought it from the professional archeologist, and collector himself! It is a good size (see photos). It is in pretty good condition, given that it was broken from an other piece (almost all angles show this – note the chunk/fragment missing). Please study the photos carefully to see exact condition of the item. This piece appraised at quite a bit, so don’t miss out at this wholesale priced artifact!! It is really hard to put a value on something like this! It would complement any antiquities collection well! Don’t pass it up!
