This item comes from an estate liquidation. The item is Chinese in origin. The carved frame is made of wood with an intricate carved decoration (see photos). The gong portion is in a bell shape with a dragon cast as decoration (see photos). The gong includes the mallet shown in the photos. The item measures in total about 14 inches high and it is about 7.75 inches wide. The gong portion is made of cast brass. The gong portion measures about 6 inches high and it is about 4.75 inches wide. The wooden frame has some age cracks, splits and repairs to the wood with wear from age and use (see photos and / or written description for the condition of this item).
