The workmanship on this is a very fine quality and quite breath taking in its detail. The main body has continuous scenes of people and buildings and there is a stylised Union Jack in one area. These prestigious silversmiths were based in Hong Kong as well as Shanghai and Canton at the end of the 19thc so this would explain the flag perhaps. The applied dragon handle is superb and again the detail is stunning in its execution. (The weight will be added soon to this page). Approx dimensions : 3.5″(8.25cms) base diameter x 5.25″(13cms) tall. Impressed with import touch mark “LC” for Leeching c1840-c1870 and researched on line with a popular and reputable on line silver marks identification site. There are no splits or dents seen.
