It comes in original wooden fitted box with Handel specially made for this pieces. They are all in outstanding condition with no damages. Each bulbous body chased with a dragon. The handles simulating bamboo. The teapot with bamboo spout and detachable cover with loved Knop. The milk jug and sugar bowl with gilt interiors , the pair of tings cast with dragons , underside of bodies stamped W. A and two character mark. Tings with two character mark only. A Japanese Kakiemon-style bird-and-flower painting has been used here by a Dutch painter to decorate a Chinese porcelain bowl. The grouping of a pair of magpies, plum blossoms, and bamboo is a traditional Chinese image, which forms the rebus “the couple delights in double happiness” (zhumei shuangxi). Underglaze blue there is a dragon visible. The scene and quality of painting is amazing. Ex Museum Piece Antique Chinese dragon Silk Gown with Civil Rank Badges
This was displayed in the Diehm Museum of Natural History. A complete set of antique official rank badges are hard to find. [Many are fake, made later for exports purpose]. The silk gown with patterns of dragons is in very good antique condition. The embroidery added ons on the sleeves are worn out, but you can remove them if you want. Are in good antique condition, with a few messed up spots showing signs of unsuccessful repair. I just noticed a worn out spot on the back rank badge. I marked on one photo. Please keep in mind: antiques can never be like new. Age-related wear and tear is completely normal. Length of the gown: about 99 cm. Chest of the gown: about 53 cm. Antique Chinese Yixing Four Piece Tea Set With Pewter Dragon Mounts. A stylish and impressive four piece tea set made of red Yixing clay stoneware overlaid with serpentine pewter dragons and trim. The set consists of the following. Teapot, 10cm high, 18cm long, stoneware and pewter lid complete with finial, pewter spout and two metal swing handles, impressed marks to the base in Chinese characters and’Shanghai China. Water jug, 15cm high, 14cm spout to handle, pewter lid, pewter handle, impressed marks to the base in Chinese characters. Hot water pot, 11cm high, 18cm spout to handle, pewter spout, stoneware handle, stoneware and pewter lid, impressed marks to base’Yee Dzu Ching, Chefoo, N. Twin handled sugar bowl, 8cm high, possibly missing a lid? Impressed marks to the base in Chinese characters and’Shanghai China. All four pieces are in excellent condition. The stoneware has no chips, cracks or repairs and the pewter mounts are all intact with minimal signs of wear. Overall a truly stunning set.
