We Once Again Leave Things As We Receive Them This Could Be A Great Find We Just Figured We Should Mention This Fact. This is a Antique Chinese really three toned Hand Hammered Vase or vessel possibly used as an incense burner. The metal was seemingly Gold Originally In Tone by Judging The Original Color Following The Seam line. Very Unique Toned In Copper? More than likely copper is the material, the way it was pieced together Really Has Us Confused Surreal Artistic Mindset. Just Amazing the Lush Copper Color Clear and Smooth this Vase Will Need A Good Buffing but compared to many others on the market well kept and maintained. The vase has two dragons Crawling towards the very top of the Vase This vase dates to circa 1900. Looking at the Age on the Dragons and the High Detail Compared To Others We were able to locate this Vase Appears to be Early 1900’s. One big difference is the Dragons, The Tongue Protrudes From the Mouth of one of the Dragons on the vase in this post. When looking at Many Others we were able to locate Up For Sale The Tongues Well In Most Cases There just was no Tongue Visible. The craft just began to be Highly Mass Produced Rushed Therefore Many Older Traditional Details Were left out there was time put into this vases Production Evident. Most of the vase is made of hammered copper (Once Again Not Sure Exact Metal), with designs in the copper. There is a silver toned metal bulge on the neck, with designs in the metal, and a silver Toned band around the belly with attached silver Toned ornamentations wrapping all the way around the Vase. The Main Ornament decoration is a depiction of a Flower very nice additive along with the iconic Dragons Up Top as both are Traditionally shown together all of the time on the Exterior Of Top Asian Works. There are Four Flowers Depicted In Total in which Wrap completely around the Exterior of the Vase. The entire metal vase is covered in tarnish and patina, including the silver Toned Areas. There are Also Four Emerald Colored Glass Cabochons In Total on the belly, surrounded by The metal, and with a bit of residue on the Glass Stones with light Cleaning they will Sparkle again. Both of the dragons have a seam at the top of the head, The feet appear to be welded to the vase not glued. The dragons have intricate designs in the metal as you can see by looking at the legs & the back. This is an old piece as Always we Maintain each item as retrieved here at Arterature Gallery & Believe in Leaving Age As Is. We would also like to note that this vase Stands A Bit Taller Than Many Found Online, we saw them averaging 6 1/2″ To 7 1/2″ Inches Tall this Vase Is Around 8.75 Tall. The entire Measurements are as follows H- 8.75″ x W- 3 1/2″ (At Bulge). Top Opening W- 1.75″ Underside Ring W- 2.75″ we also Measured The Dragons To Our Best Ability H- 4 1/2.
