The Dragon and Pearl Design, appears to be Hand Cast. The Design surrounds the Pot. It is of quite SUBSTANTIAL Weight, with a Very DENSE Thickness. There is a lip around the top, so it undoubtedly had a lid. It has a Hand Engraved Mark, on the base-MADE IN CHINA. The condition is Antique good. Antique Chinese 180 Yr Old Qing Dynasty Wooden Carving Dragons & Pearl Of Wisdom

This is an antique 180 year old Qing Dynasty. Chinese wooden carving of two dragons chasing the pearl of eternal wisdom through a cloudy sky. It was carved over 180 years ago from a dense hardwood from the elm family (Yu-mu). It has been enhanced with a layer of gold. The “pearl” and dragon’s heads stand out more as it is raised another 1/4 inch higher than the carved dragon bodies and clouds (see picture 10). The dragons and clouds are very intricately carved with every scale on the dragons standing out. This carving was probably once incorporated into a much larger piece of furniture like a wardrobe or bed (see last picture). During the Chinese cultural revolution most of these fabulous carvings were destroyed. Some were saved and warehoused until now. As China attempts to maintain her long cultural heritage, such carvings are no longer being allowed out the country. This may be your last chance to own such a piece of China’s ancient past. Don’t let your pearl of wisdom pass by. Grab it while you can! This carving measures 27 3/4″ long by 11 1/2″ wide by 3/4 thick (70.5 x 30 x 2 cm). 3 toed Bronze Dragon melon ribbed bowl with glass ball “PEARL OF WISDOM” It is from the 1800’s. It is from an estate of a lady that collected fine Chinese art. The dragon has 3 toes and curls around the top of the bowl. From the top it tapers down in rib form. It measures about 16 1/2 inches across and about 9 inches high. Chinese Export Silver 4 Cups DRAGON & SACRED PEARL OF WISDOM Wax Seals ANTIQUE

This set of 4 antique Chinese export silver footed cups features exceptionally detailed dragons wrapping around the bowls, chasing a mystical flaming “sacred pearl” of wisdom. The insides of the bowls are smooth and each holds 60 ml or 2 fluid ounces. Each of the 4 pieces has a wax export duty seal, impressed with Chinese characters as shown in the center of the bottoms. The cups each measure 4 ½” tall by 1 7/8″ across the top. The combined weight of the 4 pieces is 297 grams. All 4 pieces are in nice pre owned condition with light wear as shown.
