Outstanding antique Chinese silk embroidery, fine workmanship, framed in what appears to be a gold leaf frame. Item measures 22″ wide x 26 1/2″ tall x 2/3 deep with framing. Dating to the 19th century. Embroidery depicts a landscape with human figures wearing robes, nature life, animal figures, fish/ocean/water, clouds/sun and possibly a dragon/horse creature? This piece is over 100 years old so there is some slight wear and fading to the embroidery. There is also some wear to the frame. Looks to be a small amount of red paint on the frame and some tears on the back of the frame. Please see the detailed photos within the listing. Overall, this is a very nice piece that would display very well. I would estimate the framing was originally done in the 1960s or 70s? The label on the back of the framing reads.
