The pieces depict two dragons applied to the bodies with the bodies of the beasts disappearing and reappearing from clouds and facing up to each other. The hinged covers to the tea and coffee pots have a dragons head finial that belong to the chased dragons bodies on the covers. The handles and spouts are cleverly formed as bamboo with insulators to protect the user from heat. The cream jug and sugar bowl are both gilt (gold-wash) to the interiors.
