Antique Chinese Yixing Four Piece Tea Set With Pewter Dragon Mounts. A stylish and impressive four piece tea set made of red Yixing clay stoneware overlaid with serpentine pewter dragons and trim. The set consists of the following. Teapot, 10cm high, 18cm long, stoneware and pewter lid complete with finial, pewter spout and two metal swing handles, impressed marks to the base in Chinese characters and’Shanghai China. Water jug, 15cm high, 14cm spout to handle, pewter lid, pewter handle, impressed marks to the base in Chinese characters. Hot water pot, 11cm high, 18cm spout to handle, pewter spout, stoneware handle, stoneware and pewter lid, impressed marks to base’Yee Dzu Ching, Chefoo, N. Twin handled sugar bowl, 8cm high, possibly missing a lid? Impressed marks to the base in Chinese characters and’Shanghai China. All four pieces are in excellent condition. The stoneware has no chips, cracks or repairs and the pewter mounts are all intact with minimal signs of wear. Overall a truly stunning set. Height: 5.2cm (about 2 inches). An antique Chinese imitation realgar Peking glass snuff bottle. One side depicts a coiled dragon, and the other side depicts what appears to be a Phoenix bird, similar to a peacock. Minor flea bites and scratches, visible in the photos. The ball itself is 2.5 inches in diameter and in great condition for the age and type of ball it is. That being said, it is possible that there might be small cracks or chips, which is common with this type of ball and what it is made out of. I could not see any cracks or chips though. It does come with the stand and has a grain pattern on the bottom of it. With the stand it is about 7 high. About the item: Pair of antique late 19th century Chinese bronze vases on their original wooden stands , c 1890. They are nicely cast and composed with great dragon decoration in relief – both have a coiling dragon wrapped around the body and neck of the vases. They have aged nicely with good patina /colour. One vase has had an historic repair to the rim (as shown in the photographs) , but otherwise they are in good original condition with only minor surface wear, very much as you would expect from something that is 100 years old. ANTIQUE 19thC CHINESE QING BISCUIT PORCELAIN DRAGON MINIATURE VASE QIANLONG MARK. An antique small Chinese white biscuit porcelain onion form vase with intricate relief moulded dragon decoration within two circular panels to each side, each dragon with articulated eyes. The textured surface of the vase in between each panel is adorned with auspicious Buddhist symbols, and temple lion mask handles are attached to each side, also with articulated eyes. The upper rim is decorated with Lingzhi fungi forms, and the lower rim with stylised clouds on a textured wave surface. The base bears an impressed Qianlong mark, but it is likely 19. Or 3 7/8 inches. Or 2 1/2 inches. In good antique condition, with minor losses as expected to the porcelain, including losses to one eye of a dragon, and both eyes of one of the lion mask handles.
