Amazing antique Chinese cream silk robe with cream embroidery. Most likely from the end of the Victorian era to the beginning of the Edwardian era, made in China for wealthy Europeans. Coming up from each pocket is a huge puff of smoke with the sun peaking in. The smoke has been made by a fire breathing dragon. There is a matching silk belt. There is a rip on the back of the collar area. Some small holes here and there. Some areas of dark marks and a larger yellowish mark. Please see all pictures, as they are also part of the description. I couldn’t photograph every flaw. I did hand wash and hang to dry. I gave the robe a light press. This robe is full length and falls to the floor. There are no tags at all in the robe. I’m sure it was hand made over a hundred years ago. It is clean and wearable if you so desire. The silk is still strong and held up to a hand washing. I would repair the rip in the back of the collar if I was to wear this robe. This robe is meant to be belted, and over sized. Laying Flat and not wrapped over. Shoulder to shoulder 27. Armpit to armpit 27. Armpit to end of cuff approx 12. Length from top of shoulder to hem approx 56 long.
