The Flying Golden Dragons chasing the Flaming Pearl indicate Royalty. The Blue Color was reserved for Minor Princes or Noblemen. The illustration of the Crane indicates that its wearer held a High Civil Office. The piece incorporates an intricate, rich brown floral pattern silk border as well as paired, united segments of the fine artistry in silk with golden thread embroidery and interweaving of multiple themes including clouds, water, cranes, dragons and various other symbolic figures. The fabric has rich color and is in excellent condition with several areas showing damage that has been repaired. Dimensions: 32″ wide x 25.5″ tall. The framed portion of the textile incorporates the most visually stunning segments of what was once a complete robe. Includes exquisite antique Art Deco Black Lacquer Frame with Gilded Fascia.
