Chinese blue and white porcelain shallow bowl. 6¼” or 16 cm wide and 1½” or 3.75 cm tall. Early 18th century (Kangxi period). Marvellous underglaze blue decoration depicting a dragon chasing a flaming pearl. The same decoration also continues rather cleverly on the side of the bowl, with the body of the dragon that begins on the face of the bowl flowing perfectly onto the side of the bowl and finishing there. Notice, also, the buttery-yellow foot rim typical of Kangxi pieces. Underglaze blue square sealtype Kangxi mark surrounded by circles. Numerous nibbles to the rim and foot. Three hairlines to rim. Any questions, please ask. I must apply this manually. The item “18th Chinese Kangxi Blue White Porcelain Dragon Shallow Bowl Dish with Mark” is in sale since Friday, November 29, 2019.
