Antique Chinese Brass Mirror with Hook / Buckle of Jade Nephrite Belt with Dragon & Dragon Son of the Qing Dynasty. Age: The whole of the mirror is from approximately the second half of the 19th century but the oldest jade buckle or handle is from the 18th to the 19th century. The design of the Jade buckle is typical of the 18th century. In the back, I deduce by the signature that can be dated in the epoch of the Qianlong emperor (1736-95) of the Qing dynasty. Type: Mirror with Carved Jade Belt Buckle. Primary Material: Jade Nephrite handle, probably brass mirror body with inscription on the joint part with the handle with two cabochons of natural stone of carnelian and chalcedony or agate between a Dragon and a Fenix embossed on the back, classic design in the Chinese wedding trousseau, where the Dragon represents the masculine part and the Fenix the feminine part. Condition: The handle is a little off the hook, as if someone had tried to tear it for being the most valuable but can be restored. Mirror: 240×112 mm – 9.44×4.4. Handle: 125×19 mm – 4.9×0.74. The actual color may differ slightly from the one you see on your monitor screen, as it depends on the specific monitor settings. The accesories and atrezzo of pictures is not included in the price.
