Qing Court Dragon Robe. Such a robe would’ve been worn by an official or noble from the Jiaqing to Guangxu Periods. The robe is made of fine silk and embroidered in actual gold and silver wrapped thread – see image 11. The robe is in good condition considering it is around 150 years old. It has wear commensurate with age, including loose, fraying, and torn threads, discoloration and staining, etc. Original buttons are present. The robe would have originally had sleeve extensions and cuffs. Do not expect it to be perfect – this is an actual period robe. That said, it is in very nice condition. Display stand not included. This comes from a Philadelphia estate. In the event that an item arrives not as described or damaged, we must be notified within 24 hours of signature confirmation with a clear photo showing the.
