The shallow circular bowl with richly detailed applied four claw Chinese dragons battling for the sacred pearl, here in raised orb form. Their bodies comprised of diamond or facet cut scales which shimmer in the natural light. Upper rim and base edge with hand engraved floating flower head on tiny pebbled borders. The base with third dragon, lacking the pearl this dragons encircles the stem, chasing its own tail. This late 19th century Chinese export silver battling dragons goblet is 5 inches tall. And weighs bit over 3 standard ounces. Signed in a very long series of Chinese characters. Rich silver patina throughout.
