1930s-1940s Chinese Dragon Lantern with hand painted glass panels. One dragon has a crack at his mouth that runs horizontally (close up photo). And one piece of fretwork had broken off (also close up photo). Both have been carefully repaired. All glass panels have been hand-painted and can be removed by sliding them out. You could possibly wire this lantern, but I think a small bulb socket in dark brown would fit up inside. This lantern will be packed with extreme care to arrive undamaged. The lantern measures about 10.5 high and 14 wide and 16 deep. Item weight is less than 3lbs. The hanging hook extends about 8. This is a very unique and one-of-a-kind piece. I carefully cleaned this piece but there is still some dust. There are also various nicks and scratches that happen due to age but is in good condition overall. The glass panels are in near perfect condition. One panel has some very tiny tiny chips along one edge that do not show at all when it is slid in place. There are no cracked or broken panels. I dont know the correct order of the panels (if there is an order). I carefully slid them in and out until I got the fit the way I wanted it.
