This type of enamelling known by several names including Beijing, Canton and Peking enamel was very popular during the 17th centuries and this piece from the early 20th century copies that style. It features a wavy five claw dragon central motif with 4 dragons along the side. The exterior features three scenes featuring scholarly pursuits. The base is signed with a reignmark. Condition: There are some areas that look like they could be repaired enamel. Some crazing in areas as is common with enamel. Height 2 5/8 Inches 6.9 cm. Width 11 3/8 Inches 28.9 cm.
