This fine antique vase has a spectacular scene of an imperial dragon sucking up the ocean and a. Kangxi era Artemisia leaf mark. During the early Qing dynasty, up until the early 1680’s conditions were unsettled in China and the existence of Imperial wares as well as the use of reign marks on porcelain was restricted in various ways. During this period a number of different marks came into use such as this leaf mark. The vase measures 4 3/4 by 4 3/4 inches and is in excellent condition with no chips cracks or repairs.
