Just out of a local house is this large Chinese bronze lantern. It has the shape of a pagoda decorated with champleve and has a base surrounded by six dragons. The lantern has two doors that open and has four bells hanging from the pagoda corners. The lantern is impressive as it stands 29 inches tall and measures 11 1/8 inches across. It is substantial and weighs almost 19 pounds. The lantern is in good condition for its age but has some damage. There are some losses to the champleve, one of the hinges on the doors comes unfastened when opened, and some small pieces of bronze are missing or bent. See photos as they are part of the description. Would make a nice addition to any collection and is guaranteed as described.
