Chinese Imperial Blue Chifu Robe 9 Dragons. Chinese Imperial blue chifu or formal court robe. Blue silk embroidered in gilt thread with nine dragons, indicating the wearer was an official of the first, second, or third rank. Midnight blue lower sleeves, cuffs, and collar, also with gilt embroidery. The cuffs are lined with pale blue silk. The robe is fastened with five gilt buttons. This robe is a stunning and a high quality example of Qing court attire. Height: 53 1/2 in x width (sleeve to sleeve): 87 in. 19th C. Chinese Cloisonne on Bronze 5.5 Tall Dragon Jardiniere, Meiji Period

Welcome to Antiques & Moore! The jardiniere has an oval lobed shape and is decorated with a pair of facing five-toed dragons chasing a flaming pearl on both the front and back. The cloisonne features assorted colors and designs in yellow, blue, turquoise, pink and white against a black background. There is a decorative wave design surrounding the brass foot ring and a blue cloud design around the shoulder area. The bronze collar and foot ring have a natural aged patina. The interior of the jardiniere is black enamel and the inside of the foot ring is decorated with turquoise enamel. Measures 5 1/2″ high, 9 3/4″ long and 6 1/2 wide. Weighs 3.3 pounds. This nice jardiniere is in excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws. The guards have a wonderful deepest carved with people and dragons. It has 22 sticks connected with a little metal button. The three central sticks pierced have an oval cartouche without monogram. 19th C. CHINESE BLUE & WHITE 12.5 SIGNED DRAGON VASE with FLAMING PEARLS, c. 1850

Welcome to Antiques & Moore! This listing is for a stunning antique Chinese blue and white globular shaped 12 1/2 tall vase, c. The central design features a large five-toed dragon chasing a “flaming” pearl. Design encompasses the entire body of the vase and the under glaze blue has an attractive inky cobalt coloration, applied in a darker and lighter wash to create two distinct tones of color. The background color has a pale celadon tone rather than being true white. The neck is banded with a 1 3/4 wave design with a blue line encircling above and below. The dragon’s long body is decorated with hundreds of individual scales with intricate details in the enameling. Around the bottom of the vase is a beautiful stylistic foaming seascape floor. Measures 12 1/2″ high with a top diameter of 2 1/2″, maximum width of about 8 1/2″ with the base measuring 4 3/4″ in diameter. The vase has a globular shape formed with a long neck with shoulder area sloping gradually to a bulbous shaped body supported by a flat foot rim. This fabulous vase has a raised unglazed bottom rim with glazed recessed base marked with a six calligraphy mark. We are unfamiliar with the mark, however, it is clearly applied in under glaze blue enamel and we believe the vase dates to the 1850 period. The vase is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. We find no flaws at all on this stunning vase. We are not experts in Asian antiques so we can not authenticate the date of this vase for certainty, however, we do believe it to be mid-19th Century.
