SUPERB 19thc PERIOD ANTIQUE CHINESE DRAGON CARVED TABLE & 4 MATCHING ARMCHAIRS. A fabulous original 19th Century Chinese Table & matching set of four Armchairs which are all fully carved in a spectacular fashion. Please view our inventory. The table top has a decorative Greek key carved border which rises above a conforming foliate carved frieze which leads down to 4 beautifully carved Dragon legs. Of Excellent aged colouration & patina, the Table is offered in overall beautiful original condition commensurate with age and it is free from any damage or missing areas of carvings. There are a few very minor scuff marks to some of the leading edges of the table frame but all of which is in perfect keeping with a genuine period set of this age and mentioned purely for accuracy. Each Armchair has a profusely carved pierced rear back panel which depicts a fiery winding Dragon which is flanked at either side by a pair of conforming dragon handrails, both of which are holding a ball like object in their mouths. The generous proportioned serpentine shaped seat has a fret carved frieze which rises above a beautiful foliate carved apron, the whole of which terminates in 4 large sturdy carved inverted legs. Of Excellent aged colouration & patina, the set are offered in overall beautiful original condition commensurate with age and are free from any damage or missing areas of carvings. Antique late-19th Century Chinese Export Solid Silver three piece tea set, comprising of teapot, sugar bowl and milk jug, each spherical body embossed with dragons in relief, cast spout modelled as a bamboo branch, handles also shaped like bamboo branches, unusual angular design. The teapot’s lid is engraved with initials and a family crest with Latin motto “Cor Unum Via Uno” (possibly relating to the Nolan family). The set is Hallmarked Chinese Export “90” (900 standard), year 1890’s, Maker’s mark Wing Cheong for more information. In Great Condition – No damage, just general wear.
