Up for your consideration is this STUNNING vintage Chinese necklace! It is composed of a strand of natural lavender jadeite and aquamarine beads, and culminates at a carved Hetian jade dragon pendant! The strand consists of smooth lavender jadeite beads which measure just under 11mm, carved lavender jadeite beads which measure just under 12mm, large carved bluish lavender jadeite beads which measure 16mm, and smooth aquamarine beads which measure 9mm. There are an additional 2 aquamarine beads bear the pendant which are just under 7mm. The workmanship of the carved beads is really exceptional. The pendant is archaic, and carved from a light piece of nephrite jade with light grey undertones. It is carved into two intertwined dragons. The white areas see in in the photos appear to be slightly corroded, possibly from burial. The pendant itself measures approximately 4″ long, by 3 3/16″ wide, and is 6mm thick. The necklace itself measures approximately 24 3/4 in total wearable length, and is finished with a 14K yellow gold clasp with a lavender jadeite cabochon. The clasp is hallmarked 585 on the tongue. All jade in this necklace is type’A’ natural and untreated. Total weight is 164.1 grams. This necklace is in EXCELLENT condition! This piece is MAGNIFICENT!
