Very nice antique rug with Dragon and Phoenix design. Measures approximately 28 x 49 inches. Has some wear overall on consistent with age. No smells, stains, rips or tears. The fringe on one side is more worn than the other side. We have photographed this doe you to see. The rug was lightly cleaned but may still have some dust on it. This antique Chinese Art Deco Nichols or Peking rug is in fair to good condition, as shown. There is overall wear and some white knot heads showing in the central field, some minor loss to the ends, as well as wear at the edges, all as shown in the close-up photographs. The rug has a dragon (or possibly a Phoenix) as the central motif. Clouds and multi-colored mountains are depicted on the upper and lower borders. The rugs is blue, green, rust, orange, and cream. It is 100% wool, hand knotted, and measures 26 by 45. It would benefit from a cleaning, as I simply vacuumed it after I acquired it from a house outside of Philadelphia, PA, where it was in daily use. Chinese Aubusson Gold Dragon Handwoven Rug 5’11 x 3. A quality Chinese, Aubusson st. And fringed dragon rug. Dating from the late 20th century, of Chinese origin. Field, with sculpted Chinese dragon. This rug has a deep, dense, soft pile, with selvages and long fringes to both ends. Wool pile and cotton foundations. Very heavy for its size. This quality, handsome rug is in a fairly reasonable condition with some flaws, benefit a clean but could be used as is. This rug measures approximately 181 cm long including fringes, and 92. Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. This rug is in a fairly reasonable condition. Couple off small marks, couple of small caking spots. Few small singe marks to pile, no burning, towards one edge. A reasonably good regular shape for handwoven rug. Benefit from a clean but can be used as is. 8’8″ x 11’8″ Antique Art Deco Chinese Dragon Oriental Carpet Green #16979. This is an authentic handmade rug. It was made in China around the 1920s or before. It has very fine wool quality. This Rug is in excellent condition with high pile throughout the rug, cleaned and no stained, the ends and bindings of the rug are intact as original and there has not been any repairs. There are no tears, breaks or holes. The materials are from vegetable dyes wool pile over cotton foundation. The pattern is floral in deco style. This wonderful Art Deco carpet was made in China, circa 1910s or 1920’s. Walter Nichols was great American rug producer (the Art Deco rugs which he did not originate them) in Tientsin. The rugs made of wool and silk with bold vibrant colors and the pattern are pictorial scenes and trees, birds, clouds, mountains, dragons, butterfly and flowers. The production of Art Deco rugs started from 1910s-1950s and mostly with western influence. Field with Chinese dragon medallion centre, enclosed in a floral ivory coloured border. This carpet has a deep, dense, robust yet soft pile, both ends with selvages and long fringes. A high quality carpet, though several small marks and stains, and would benefit from a professional clean. This carpet measures approximately 272 cm long including fringes, and 152.5 cm wide. Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. This carpet is in a fairly reasonable condition. Structurally the carpet is good, with only very little wear to the pile and fringes.
