The vase decorated with a long iron-red chilong coiled around the base of the neck above a bulbous body. It has lotus pods, flowers, fans, birds, butterflies, fruit, painted on top of a green celadon glaze. Interior is white porcelain with painted flowers along the rim. Gold gilt accented around the top and bottom rims, on some of the flora and fauna, and on top of the dragon lizard. We research every item we sell. MEASUREMENTS : About 6 high by 2 at top opening and 1-3/4 diameter at base. Widest area of body is about 3-3/4 across. CONDITION: In very good vintage condition with no cracks or chips. Has a firing nib on inside lip and a divot or notch in the edge on the top lip. The painted objects and green glaze have no chips or rubs. The gold gilt has rubbed spots in some areas. Bottom ring on base is rough and discolored from aging. This was acquired with 3 other Chinese vases at an estate sale in Little Silver, NJ.
