This service comprises: a teapot, a coffee pot, sugar bowl and cream/milk jug. This tea and coffee service is one of the very best we have ever encountered – the quality of decoration is quite phenomenal! The pieces depict two dragons applied to the bodies with the bodies of the beasts disappearing and reappearing from clouds and facing up to each other. The hinged covers to the tea and coffee pots have a dragons head finial that belong to the chased dragons bodies on the covers. The handles and spouts are cleverly formed as bamboo with insulators to protect the user from heat. The cream jug and sugar bowl are both gilt (gold-wash) to the interiors. All pieces are engraved with a cipher on a shield and marked as appropriate to the bases. Please view our specialist site for. It works great as a pendant as well. Zee Sung, a Shanghai jeweler and merchant, was famous in early export silver jewelry scene from China to the west. The clip is approx. Up for your consideration is a One-Of-A-Kind Antique Chinese Silk Embroidered Kimono Featuring Blue Silk Exterior with Intricately Embroidered Dragons Each with Eight (8) Claws Per Arm Among Clouds Swirling Above (Denoting Authority) and Flames (One of the Twelve Symbols of Imperial Authority) Tailored From Densely Sewn Gold, Red, Black and Yellow Twine-Like Fibers… The Artwork is Thick Allover and the Thickest (Deepest) Embroidered Areas are the Three (3) Dragon Heads which Measure Approximately 1/2 Deep / Thick in Embroidery… Fully Lined in White Silk… This one-of-a-kind collectible piece is suitable for display purposes and it is also entirely wearable… See photos above for more detailed imagery The CONDITION of this piece is twofold: The EXTERIOR is in overall good to great condition with only minor wear and, if age is taken into account, it is excellent. The INTERIOR is in overall very good condition at the interior sleeves, both front panels and much of the back with the EXCEPTION of discolored stains that appear to have been caused by some kind of liquid, though it may have just been poorly stored by a prior owner, and Five (5) areas where the silk lining is torn / frayed (shown in PHOTO # 11 ABOVE) which I will describe more thoroughly.
