This week Chamberlain Antiques is pleased to offer over 200 lots of fine Asian antiques and works of art. Included in the sale is a old private collection of Chinese and Japanese cloisonne, a private collection of snuff bottles collected by a diplomat who worked in China in the 1930’s, as well as many other interesting examples of porcelain, bronze, and jade. This listing is for a large and very heavy Chinese cloisonne tray dating to the late 19th or early 20th century. The tray is made in rectangular form with raised openwork walls and measures 11.2 inches in length. The center is decorated with two confronting dragons above a row of stylized waves along with an outcropping of rocks in the center. The tray is in very good condition with no apparent damages.
