Up for your consideration is this very large approx. 84″ x97″ Chinese red silk embroidered panel / wall hanging / coverlet. The hand embroidered portions are exceptional and in excellent condition. The center silk embroidered section is approx. 34″ x 26″ and has a large Imperial Five Claw dragon amongst the clouds and coral sun. Is the emperor’s sacred symbol of imperial power, representing its dignity. Also a multicolored Phoenix up there in the clouds as well with florals as well. Design symbolic of blissful relations between husband and wife, another common yang and yin metaphor. There are two smaller areas (16″ x 13″) with another five-claw Dragon, Coral Sun, Phoenix and two other sitting birds / ducks looking lovingly into each others eyes. Other areas have embroidered flowers, roses, dogwoods, mums and others. This beauty is in great clean condition with no odors. There are, however, a few minor insignificant thread pulls and there may be a few dog or cat hairs as I have pets. It definitely needs to be pressed as it is wrinkled.
