Vivid color embroidery on a blue silk satin background with some forbidden stitch and original cast bronze closures. Condition is very good to good and all original. There are some loose threads and the arms are split on the black silk only (see photos 9 and 10) The lining has some discoloration (photo #11). For size see photo 12. Antique Chinese Imperial yellow 5 claw Dragon Charger plate 18

You are viewing a fantastic Antique Chinese Charger. It has all the bells and whistles to be, possibly an Imperial piece. There are a total of five dragons on the front, all showing their 5 claws. These are imperial dragons. Overall, this charge is large, measuring 18 3/8 inches in diameter, 2 3/4 inches high. The center of this charger depicts a large red dragon, surrounded by four, five clawed dragons, all chasing four flaming pearls. The background is imperial yellow with all dragons surrounded by clouds. Underside of rim, there are four, five clawed dragons and four flaming pearls. Bottom center is beautiful shade of turquoise with no signature. This charger has a custom metal bracket for displaying on a wall. Minor enamel loss consistent with age.
