Old Chinese Qing Imperial Court Embroidered 5 Claw Dragons Silk Summer Robe. Blue is the dominant color.. And shows age and use. But the garment is intact. The sleeves are a little more fancier than ones I’ve seen… Some areas have just plain wear. I did find a button loop or two that needs attention. The buttons are brassy rosettes. Please see all pics for detail.. Neck to end of sleeve on each side about 29 1/2. Overall length about 52 1/2. Width across the bottom 42.5.. Do see my other fabulousfinds. Antique Chinese Summer Gauze Silk Embroidered Dragon Robe. Century or Late 18. This is the front of a robe. A very early antique summer BROWN silk gauze, five dragon embroidered piece. Hand stitched it depicts 5 dragons amongst swooping bats, and flowers, amongst flowing clouds, above rolling waves with the land uprising. It is in strong condition, showing age, lightly soiled, please note the top right shoulder is cut out. I do not know the history of this robe frontal piece. It is said that BROWN is considered an off shade of yellow, and was used by other members of the Imperial Family….. This piece could be IMPERIAL. It measures 51 inches from sleeve tip to tip. It is 66 inches long. Condition Good, good overall old look, showing age, lightly soiled, cut at shoulder. Size —51 x 66 inches. Age — 1790 – 1850. It will be packed in a small box. IMPORTANT IMPERIAL ANTIQUE CHINESE QIANLONG MARK + PERIOD BLUE RED DRAGON DISH

Chamberlain Antiques LLC is back once again with a wonderful offering of Asian antiques and works of art. This week we will be offering a large array of porcelain, bronze, jade, silver, and other works of art. There are many museum quality examples included, so be sure to check the other listings. 99 with no reserve with lots closing on September 21st. The dish painted in the center with a red dragon on a ground of waves behind him. The back wall of the dish painted with a similar motif and depicting nine various dragons on a ground of underglaze blue waves. The back of the plate has a neatly written Qianlong seal and the dish is of the period. It measures just about 7 inches across (17.75cm) across and is in excellent condition with only some minor crazing to the underside. Provenance: We recently acquired two similar. Dishes directly from a wealthy New England family and has never been on the market. They were given as wedding gifts by a wealthy friend in the 1950’s and has since been in the family. One dish was of the Daoguang period and one of the Qianlong period. As can be seen in the photos the family kept the original typed letter that was with the dishes when presented as a gift. The last two photos are to show how the dishes were presented to the family along with the letter. In addition, all questions must be asked at least 12 hours prior to a lot closing. This allows us time to inspect the item and take additional photos if needed. Many of the items we sell are well over 100 years old. Inherently, these items will have some minor or light wear. Any major flaws and damages ie. Chips or cracks will be clearly disclosed in the item description. Antique Chinese Qing Dynasty Large Silk Art Yellow Ground Imperial Dragon 60tal

This silk art is so old and fragile, that it can bee rip apart easily with just touching it. It is in good Condition for the age, still have some areas with intact embroidering. Does have a lot of damage on the silk material and some of the embroidered have been damaged, great piece to be framed and hang in a wall before gets destroyed. Looks like a museum piece, it just need to go to a good home. Originally it once was 2 single silk pieces, and later hand sewed together forming a single art, as you can see at the photo #12 the dragon design end up been in a wrong matching position, but looks like some of the other parts matched perfectly. Very large silk art with 60″ inches tall (152.4cm) and 34″inches wide (86.36cm). Does have a old brass pole, it does folds like a scroll. GREAT PIECE OF CHINESE HISTORY.
